A mobile app that reduces the friction, time, and effort it takes to get your VAT back after travelling in Europe.

Travellers leaving Europe are entitled to a refund on the VAT they paid on eligible purchases - but claiming it means paper forms, customs desks, and an unpredictable amount of waiting. Most people either don't bother, or lose track of the process somewhere between the shop and the airport.
The app walks travellers through eligibility, digitizes the paperwork, and tracks each claim's status end to end - so a refund that used to take a folder of receipts now takes a few taps. A traveller scans a receipt's barcode with the camera and the details are read automatically instead of typed by hand, purchases are collected into a single running total using live exchange rates across 60+ currencies, and a multi-step declaration flow assembles everything the customs process needs.

Because the app holds sensitive documents, that was treated as a first-class concern rather than an afterthought. Passport numbers are encrypted with AES-256, Face ID and Touch ID gate access, and every read of personal data is logged for GDPR compliance, with built-in data export and consent management. The whole experience is localized into eight languages - English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Arabic - because the people who need it are, by definition, travelling.
The claims backend and refund-status tracking are being built out now on top of Supabase for auth, data, and storage. The app is on version 1.0.9 with iOS builds shipping, and a closed beta is planned for later this year.
